As some of you might recall, back in 2005, we published Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth, a 1st-person/survival-horror title is based on the works by horror writer H.P. Lovecraft. Today, while checking out Quiet Earth, a good site “dedicated to genre film and everything post apocalyptic,” I came across a trailer for a new film based on Lovecraft’s work, appropriately titled “Cthulhu.”
Investigating on IMDb, it doesn’t look like this movie is expected to get a wide-release, and from what I can tell, it wass only shown on the film festival circuit last year. I considered sharing the trailer on the blog, but I thought it was a little much. I mean, it’s pretty disturbing…not to mention there’s a little too much Tori Spelling action going on in it.
If you’re interested in learning more, here’s a link to the official site for the film, as well a 5 star review I found on Dead Central. If anyone wants to share their thoughts on the movie, you can find me hiding under my bed.
