What we’re playing: Gaming Overload!!!

It’s getting hard to keep up with all the games coming out. “Wait, what…how are we already in November…how do I keep up?” is what I’m hearing from the devs. This week alone, both Gears of War 2 and Resistance 2 hit shelves. Things get even busier with Mirror’s Edge, Call of Duty: World at War, Wrath of the Lich King, and Left 4 Dead around the corner.

Here’s the games we’re keeping up with this weekend. Let us know what you’re playing.

Sam Bernstein, Quality Assurance: Fallout 3, Fable 2, Dead Space, and the Left 4 Dead demo.  Sooooooooooooo much fun.

Pete Hines: Fallout 3.

Kurt Kuhlmann, Designer: Far Cry 2. Fable 2.

Rob Clark, QA: Gears of War 2, WoW, COD5 beta.

Brent Krische, QA Tester: Little Big Planet and Lego Batman during the week and presumably Gears of War 2 for the rest of the weekend. I need me some chainsaw loving!

Matt Weil: Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty 4, Dead Space.

Orin Tresnjak, Graphics Programmer: Making crazy stuff in LittleBigPlanet. This game has wormed its way into my brain and taken permanent residence there.

Nathan X McDyer, Associate Producer: Left 4 Dead Demo, Fable 2.

Ryan Salvatore, Associate Artist: World of Warcraft, Civilization IV, and Fallout 3.

Tony “Tony?… as in The Tony Train?” Greco: Uh, what’s it called? It’s some small indie game. Gears of… something something.

Jay Woodward, AI Programmer: Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia.

Nate Purkeypile, Zombie Killer Extraordinaire: Left 4 Dead demo, Fallout 3, Fable 2, Far Cry 2, Crysis: Warhead and wondering when I’ll be able to actually play all of these games that are coming out.

Cory Dornbusch, QA: Left 4 Dead Demo, Fallout 3, TF2, Fable 2, and Rock Band 2.

Dane Olds, Artist: Fallout 3, Fable II, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, Stalker CS, Left 4 Dead Demo.

Michael Lattanzia, QA: LittleBigPlanet (lots of LittleBigPlanet, working on creating what I think will be an awesome level/set of tools), Fable 2, Warhammer Online, Left 4 Dead Demo over and over and over (this game is amazing, and I can only play 1 level). I might do Fallout 3 at some point if I’m up for collecting some achievements.

Louis Riley, Senior QA Tester: Left 4 Dead, Fable 2, Fallout 3.

Daryl Brigner, Level Designer: Fallout 3, Rock Band 2, and Left 4 Dead Demo.

Aaron Mitschelen, QA: WoW, Mirror’s Edge demo, LotRO, Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia.

Matt Grandstaff, Community Manager: Fallout 3, LittleBigPlanet, Fable 2.

What do you expect us, Bethesda fans, to play other than Fallout 3? :D But… I already kinda finished it and… I’m gonna play it and finish it again when I’m ready. Oh, and I’m looking forward to co-op new Gears with my friend.

Already got 81 hours of fallout 3 (2 characters) and i gotta say aside from those weird freezes this game is amazing !

The mind boggling totally immersive stress relieving Fallout 3 since getting it last weekend.

Might try to squeeze in some more of The Witcher Enhanced Edition and Neverwinter Nights 2 Gold Edition.

Oblivion, Fallout 3, Gears of War 2.

I want to try out every diff character type in Fallout 3 to make sure I don’t miss a single quest, or miss a single bit of loot I could be treasure hunting for!

All 3 games are well worth the money, I am still playing new games on Oblivion all the time, and see the same thing happening with Fallout 3. GOW2 is also an awesome game. As you can probably tell, I look for great graphics in gaming!

Hmm lets see, whats on the top of the stack right next to my screen:

Fallout 3, The Witcher Enhanced Edition, battlefield 2 and SF (yes it’s still around) and Oblivion. Though I’ve only removed the Fallout 3 disc for ten minutes to go and remove some cheaters from the bf2 server since i got F3 last thursday.

It’ll all be FO3 for me - second playthrough - and trying to get the Tranquility Lane theme out of my head. ;)
On the mobile phone, I’ll probably finish Might & Magic II and get a bit further in Silent Hill.

You can try to play all the games, but you can’t without playing through them all too fast. They should just give up and start, I don’t know, working on a patch for all three systems that stop the minor and important quest related citizens of Megaton from leaping to their deaths?

I agree with fineldar - but even more importantly, especially after playing the game non-stop (save for sleeping and the occasional 4-hour class) since release, I am DYING to make some mods. Let’s get a Construction Set!!! I don’t understand the wait - Bethesda has been using it for years, why can’t they just WinZIP the thing up and give it to us? do they have to remove certain features for legal reasons or something?

Just picked up COMPANY OF HEROES yesterday to play in my brief moments of not playing FALLOUT 3. Ah the cold season with all its gaming joy.

Well in a pre-release interview Pete Hines said part of the problem was just finding the people to work on this and have the time to do it in their busy schedule.

Me am totally satisfied with FALLOUT 3 out of the box and dont know how Modders can possibly top it. It even has a ton of things which in past games were modded in like traveling caravans and indoor lighting which reflects the time of day outside.

Truly FALLOUT 3 is..legend.

Been playing lots of Gears 2 this weekend with friends. I’m not sure I can remember the last time I had so much fun with local splitscreen. Played some Fallout 3 as well, haven’t beaten it yet. Crazy, but I’m taking my sweet time.
