New interview with Dane

At NotesOnGameDev.net, there’s a new interview with Fallout 3 artist Dane Olds. In it, Dane discusses his work for the game, student projects, and he also shares some tips on how to break into the industry. It’s a good read.

If you haven’t already, you can also read his Inside the Vault interview here. Look how far his beard has come!

Sorry, my witty yet astute comment has long been forgotten as I stare … transfixed … at the beard. Damn.

Now I absolutely convinced that the Elder Scrolls V will be in Skyrim, even the Bethesda devs look like vikings!

I’m officially a fan of that beard.

And a good interview, I always love to hear what developers have to say about breaking into the industry. That’s valuable infomation.

Wow. That is one very impressive beard. I think I can tell who was responsible for the gazillion beards that will be in Fallout 3. =D Being a fellow beard haver, I’m very appreciative of some beard love!

Totally Agree FinalFrog, Very fine beard Dane I’ve been working on mine for almost a month now.

Now, it’s a great beard and all, very Viking-y, but has anyone read the interview?

ALL GLORY TO THE DANE-BEARD.

Aye, ’twas a fine read from the astute hirsute. :D

Woah! Sweet beard Dude! An growing one myself at the moment for what looks to be a cold winter coming. Going for the Frenchie the butler look from the old 1970s show Family Affair :D

Great interview and cool advice about how to sharpen ones skills to have the powers to make the most out of ones job prospect. Thanks.

Toxic Holocaust!!

What a fitting band to be a fan of when you’re on a Fallout dev team :)

Yeah those guys are great! Their stuff certainly fits the Fallout universe that’s for sure. They’re a blast to see live and Joel is a cool dude.

Something to say?
