Vote for your favorite PC games of all time

Earlier this month, PC Gamer (UK) revised their Top 100 list of the greatest games of all time. On the list, it’s worth noting that the original Fallout cracked the list at #21, and Oblivion found its way into the top ten at #7.

With their list out of the way, they now want folks like you to help compile the Readers’ Top 100. If you’re interested, simply register here, and then compile your top 10 list. Amongst the list of games, you can vote for games from The Elder Scrolls series (Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion), Fallout series (Fallout 1 and 2), and Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth made the cut. Of course you can vote for plenty of other great games — from Half Life 2 to Peggle.

Compiling your top 10 list has an incentive as well as one lucky participant will get a new PC. For more details, head over to the Top 100 page.

Oblivion isn’t on the list to vote?

I saw it there — it’s just under “Oblivion” and not with the other Elder Scrolls titles. Not sure why.

Oh wait, there is, it’s just not labeled as an Elder Scrolls game… and there are two Daggerfall choices.

1. Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
2. Oblivion
3. Half-Life
4. The Curse Of Monkey Island
5. Alone in the Dark
6. Jedi Knight
7. Knights of the Old Republic
8. Dungeon Siege
9. Need for Speed
10. Call of Duty 4

Instead of Need for Speed, I guess I should have put SimCity 4, but whatever. I also wish I could have fit in Battlefield 2, and the whole original Alone in the Dark series, I only fit the first one in. I include Half Life 2 in my vote for Half Life, as well as the whole Jedi Knight series in my vote for Jedi Knight.

Interesting list, Tissue - though my own had the sublime Thief 2 occupying the number one (after Morrowind) and Oblivion at number 3. I put Mass Effect in KOTOR’s place, though. Easily and with bells on. Oh, and Max Payne 2 was pretty high on my list. <3

I’m pretty surprised that a ‘greatest games of all time’ list didn’t include the simple pleasures of Pong and Pac-Man - or did I miss those?

(Doh - I meant, Thief 2 as number 2), with Morrowind as ‘best game … EVER’.

I haven’t played enough of Half-Life 2 to rank it as a favourite, but it’s pretty good so far :)

The best thing I like about Half-Life 2 is the unfolding story.

Something to say?
